Ben was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. After a year internship in youth ministry at his home church, he decided to further his ministry education at Ambrose University College and made the move to Calgary in 2004.
After graduating in 2010 with a bachelor in youth ministry, he took on a part-time youth position at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Calgary. During this time Ben also worked at Mountain Equipment Co-op. In December 2015, the position at St. Andrew’s ended and he began to look for a new youth ministry.
In May 2017 Ben accepted the Student Ministries Pastor position at Steele Heights.
Ben married his wife, Lindsay, in 2014 and in October 2016 they had their first child, Matthew.
